Actually, I wouldn’t doubt his conclusion that he does.


I saw a recent poll claiming that 63% of republicans think you must be supportive of Trump in order to be a valid republican. I would love to think revelations about his very active attempt at a coup after the 2020 election loss, which seem to be refuted by nobody, might change that, but I would not hold my breath.

Because the Republican Party is a Trump cult, and Grassley sees that. So, yeah, just like Cheney is probably toast in Wyoming, Grassley has to bow to the cult master to avoid the same fate.
